Before The Village Clubhouse was a business, it was a realization. Janina Deisenrieder, who runs her own project management consulting business working with organizations like AARP, began asking what felt authentic to her. While she continues her consulting work today, she realized she wanted to use her natural strengths to serve her local community. The Village Clubhouse wasn’t born out of a desire to simply “fix” remote-work isolation; rather, it grew from Janina’s long-standing instinct for hosting, curating aesthetic experiences, and naturally bringing people together. Today, her new venture stands as the physical expression of that instinct—a space designed to build an atmosphere people actively want to step into.

A Curated Community Space
Janina’s goal is to bring a slow-down, “romance-your-life” energy to the typical workday. She has created a curated gathering space that offers the productivity of an office combined with the warmth of a living room.
Designed to co-exist respectfully with local coffee shops, The Village Clubhouse offers an all-inclusive membership model where guests can settle in without the pressure of constantly buying items. A day or week pass grants access to a comforting spread: coffee with various creamers (oat, almond, and regular), teas, sodas like Poppi, Sprite, and Body Armour, and a rotating snack selection featuring beef jerky, rice crisps, popcorn, chocolate, and Clif Bars.
Currently, anyone is welcome for co-working hours every Wednesday and Friday from 10 am to 3 pm ET, giving freelancers a beautiful, inspiring place to focus and connect. The cozy, versatile building is thoughtfully designed with a handicap-accessible ramp and bathroom, along with a large adjacent outdoor space that provides highly coveted parking for West Greenville.
Championing Greenville’s Creative Energy
One of Janina’s greatest successes is how she has embraced her role as a host, driven by a deep admiration for the innovation and creativity of Greenville’s local small businesses. For Janina, collaborating with local makers isn’t just strategic; it’s something she genuinely loves to do.
This collaborative spirit shines brightly in her upcoming curated event, Soma, Sips & Snapshots. Designed as a gentle reset, this afternoon of embodied wellness blends custom herbal tea rituals, guided group grounding practices, mini 1:1 energy sessions, and embodied professional photo moments. To bring this to life, Janina partnered with three incredible local small businesses:
- Catherine from RootedWovenWellness
- Laura-Anne from Five Chicken Farm
- Ashlie Moon from Strange Birds Studio
The creativity continues to expand. Janina is planning an upcoming art gallery event in collaboration with Davey from Chops Greenville, and The Village Clubhouse proudly highlights local talent in its own branding, featuring stunning website pictures taken by another local business, Frame 19.

The Art of Articulation
The journey of building a physical community space naturally comes with hurdles. For Janina, the biggest challenge takes time: articulation. Because The Village Clubhouse is so multifaceted, it can be difficult to explain its full value to the public. It’s not only a coworking space, not only a creative studio, and not only an event venue—it is a carefully curated blend of all three.
To help people experience this unique atmosphere firsthand, Janina scheduled a soft launch on the 18th, complete with an Instagram booking site and a giveaway of 10 co-working passes to welcome the first wave of visitors.

A Vision for Elevated Gatherings
Looking ahead, Janina’s future plans are deeply intentional. Because the venue features three cozy 14×14 rooms, she isn’t looking to host massive crowds. Instead, her long-term vision leans toward curated creative gatherings, craft-based events, seasonal dinners, and small corporate events.
On weekends, the space opens up for intimate, elevated private celebrations like baby showers, bridal showers, and family birthdays. In the summer, the large outdoor area can even be utilized for fun games like cornhole.
Crucially, Janina remains committed to adaptability, giving her business time to build naturally while responding to the community’s needs. The Village Clubhouse is more than just a place to work—it is a delightfully curated environment where real, meaningful connections are made.
